Best Macaroni & Cheese

Okay, I know what you're thinking, hot sauce? Dry mustard!? It sounds crazy, I know but take my word for it, this really is the best macaroni and cheese recipe ever. The macaroni has a nice creamy sauce and since it is made on the stove top, it can be made in a hurry. However, if you're looking for a crunchier, oven baked version this isn't it.
 
Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lb elbow macaroni
  • 4 T butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 c milk
  • 1/2 tsp hot sauce
  • 1 tsp coarse salt
  • 1/4 tsp fresh ground pepper
  • 3/4 tsp dry mustard powder
  • 1 3/4 c cheddar cheese, shredded
  1. In a large pot of boiling hot water, cook the pasta and then drain. Return the pasta to the pot and then melt in the butter. Stir with wooden spoon to coat. 
  2. Whisk together the eggs, milk, hot sauce, salt, pepper, and mustard. Stir into the pasta and add the cheese. Over low heat continue to stir for 3 minutes or until creamy.
